I Understand the Nonprofit World-Because I’ve Lived It
For more than 20 years, I’ve lived and breathed the nonprofit world. I’ve worn many hats, grant writer, human resources director, fundraiser, board member and chair, and my current position as an Executive Director, I know firsthand the weight of responsibility that comes with leading an organization you care about deeply.
I’ve felt the thrill of a program launch that changes lives… and I’ve felt the stress that comes with feeling overwhelmed. I’ve navigated the tension between wanting to give my all and realizing that “my all” was slowly burning me out.
This work matters. Our communities depend on it. But I’ve learned that we can’t sustain our missions if we don’t take care of ourselves and our teams.
That’s why my workshops are more than professional development. They’re a space for nonprofit leaders and staff to breathe, reflect, and learn strategies to navigate stress without losing passion. I don’t just teach these skills, I use them every day in my own leadership.
